The Tumors Are Getting Smaller!

January 14, 2011 By Helena Artmann

It has been a while since my last post – there are lots going on here, with the end of the year, holidays and friends visiting again. But we have good news!

Ricardo did his last chemo of the year in mid-December and the day before the end of the year he went for a CAT Scan, to see how the tumor was developing – or not. The results were great and, in fact, all the tumours reduced a bit in size! The oncologist was amazed by the fact that he is not having the nasty side effects that one would expect from the drugs he is receiving. This is clearly the naturopath miracle, as I am calling it…

But the best news ever, for me, is that he gained some weight the last week or so! It is visible. He gained around 1/3 of what he had lost the last couple of months! Tomorrow he starts another round of chemo – two more months, 4 sessions and another CAT Scan to see the progress, as we don’t even consider anything different from progress. Diet, liters and liters of green tea, Budwig protocol and all the powders and things from the naturopath are still going on. That way, we are positive that this blog will be a repository of very good news from now on. So, keep visiting us!

This blog is the result of what I learned during these difficult times and how I am grieving through my son.
